Alright friends, I've done it again. I broke another laptop. Two years ago, right after college...my HP laptop shit the bed. I think it was saying "I made it through college....I'm done." I went a while without a laptop, saved some money and customized my own Dell laptop. And spent a huge amount of money on it. It was fine until my adapter died, I bought a cheap one...then my computer started overheating. Now my cheap adapter has to be plugged in to the computer at all times. It's like having a desktop.
I put my Dell into early retirement about two months ago. Me and Danny have been sharing his Toshiba. I hated it at first, but I slowly started to fall in love with it (but I would never admit that to him!) Well, about ten minutes ago the laptop flashed the "10 minutes until battery dies" screen. I get up, plug it in and....it doesn't fit. How the hell does that even happen?! The hole on the computer is too big for the adapter. Seriously...how does that happen!? My best guess is that the adapter was plugged into the computer and somehow got ripped out and it must have been with a lot of force. I can not figure it out for the life of me.
So, as of right now....Danny's computer is ready for the grave. And the Dell is out of retirement. But I know it's only a matter of time until mine shits-the-bed for real. I've been looking for a cheap replacement. ALL we use is the internet, nothing fancy. I found refurbished ones on the Best Buy website for $359, I'm liking that so far!
Please please please recommend something to me!
