Seriously, Mother Nature has been a huge bitch lately. And it hit close to home yesterday. Of course, I'm not in North Carolina right now...but I have family and friends there so of course I was desperately trying to get in touch with everyone last night!
First, my wedding photographer lives in Sanford. Those were the first reports I heard about. I finally heard back from her this morning. They still have no power. The damage is horrifying.

I turned on the news and started to hear reports about Raleigh...my in-laws live the next town over! So, I tried getting in touch with anyone with a phone. It took a while to get back to me...because they are on vacation! Thank goodness! Three houses next to my father-in-laws brothers house was destroyed. Looking at pictures is crazy for me...I know where all of these places are!

When I went to bed Jacksonville was still under a warning...but when I woke up my Facebook was taken over by pictures of damage and friends saying they are okay. Home have been destroyed on base and businesses are no longer standing. All my friends are accounted for, thank God. These are pictures off of Facebook from my friends....

As much as I'm missing home and husband I'm very happy I wasn't in NC for this...I would have been freaking out. I'm thinking of all my friends and family in North Carolina today, Ft. Bragg was hit bad too. Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers.
