Giveaway Feature - TILTCreations

1. Where can we find your work and what do you create?
My main focus is on handbags but recently I have been dipping into home accessories like pillows, table runners, coasters and soon quilts.
Are you seeing stuff you like?  Use the code ROSE15 for 15% off your order - good during the duration of the giveaway!

2. What's your favorite part about being an independent artist?

I like being able to just go in whatever direction I feel I am being carried with no one to tell me otherwise. Although, sometimes that nudge in a direction could come in handy when your mind is too full of ideas.

3. Where do you find your inspiration?

I really do not have a concrete answer for this. I know many people that look to nature or geometrics or texture - I just go with the flow. I never know what will trigger an idea.

4. What advice would you give to other artists?

Do not give up. I have been on the verge too many times to count. Am I super successful? No. Do I make enough to help support my family. Not yet. But I am always working at it, tweeking it, finding new ways to, as Tim Gunn would say, "make it work".

Now the fun part - ready to win???

Featured Crafter: By Your Side

I featured By Your Side in my very first treasury, It's in the Bag. I first found her on Twitter. A great place to meet those who craft. I like her casual look and feel of her bags.  The travel bags I have to admit are one of  my favorites. They just look like the kind of bag where you can throw in a few things for a quick trip to the park or running errands.

In the market for a new handbag? She's got those too. I think The lil Miss M Handbag - Burnt Orange, Olive and Golden Yellow Tracy Porter Floral Print Lined with an Olive Tracy Porter Print seen below would be a great summer handbag!

You can also follow her on her blog and Facebook Fan page. You can join in the journey of her redoing her bathroom and other household projects. She also features other crafters of the handmade as well on her blog.  Who knows, it could be you next. But you'll have to keep tabs on her to find out!

Of special note. By Your Side has also generously participated in donating items for the Hearts for Haiti cause on Etsy.  Please be sure to check out her items!

Featured Etsy Blogger - Designs by Nora!

It's time again for the etsy bloggers team's featured artist! Woohoo!

This month's featured artist is DesignByNora, and I've actually had the privelage of buying from her! Now generally, as a jewelry artist, I don't buy jewelry. I don't, however, make stud earrings, and that's what my Mom usually wears! So I went searching and bought a couple pairs of flowers like these from Nora. She was great to work with!

Nora also sells some of her uncles Naz's purses in her shop! I liked this one in particular. Can anyone guess why? LOL

And don't forget to check out her blog!
