Day 3: Rose Hill

Today was such a fun day! We went to the Duplin Winery in Rose Hill. It's a good thing we set the entire day aside for it...we got there at 11:00 and didn't leave until 3:30!

What's the best way to start a wine filled day? Food of course! In the gift shop they have a food tasting set up, so we tried some of the yummy dips and spreads. Then we made our way into the bistro. We had a sampling of wine and a full glass to ourselves. Lunch was very light (veggie wrap and fruit) and so good!

Then we did the winery tour. Our guide talked so fast and had a thick southern accent...so half the time I had no idea what she was saying! The wine smelled so sweet!

The last..and best..stop was the tasting. We tested 12 different wines. I love all the dry wines. Some of their wines are way too sweet. So, if you like dessert wine...this is the place for you!

I ended up joining their wine club. I'll get three bottles four times a year. And tons of discounts and specials. I'm already excited for the murder mystery that they are having in October! Look at all the goodies I picked up today!

Tomorrow is day four of the Carolina Coast adventure. I have no idea where we are going! Any suggestions?!
