Remembering the Magic

Over the next few days I'll be featuring some great posts by some awesome bloggers! The theme? Disney! Lindsey from A Day in the Life of a Marine Corps Wife is making her way to Japan right now...but first she's guest blogging for me!. Read her post then make sure you check out her blog!

Nicole is planning her Disney trip and asked some girls to guest blog. I am so excited to blog about this because my husband and I just took our 2 daughters to Disney for the first time this past September. It was an unforgettable vacation for sure.

Disney is the most magical place on earth. I think everyone will agree. I had been to Disney World a few times before, So it wasn't very "magical" to me anymore. We were all having so much fun and really enjoying ourselves. It wasn't until I saw our kids dancing with all the Disney Characters in the parade...until I realized the magic through their eyes. To our girls (almost 5 and 2) they are not just men and women dressed up. They ARE Woody, Buzz, Cinderella and Belle, Aladdin and Jasmine that they are dancing with. My kids went to sleep that night dreaming of dancing with their friends from all the DVD's they watch. Sure, its fun for my husband and me. But I guess I forgot all the Magic from a child's eyes.

We had looked at going to a few different places. A cruise, Mexico etc. I am so glad we chose Disney World because I got to relive all the magic and excitement I did when I was a kid...but this time with OUR kids. Disney is a place where it's ok to be as silly as can be. That includes my "oh so tough US Marine" wearing Mickey Ears and signing along to the musicals. It also includes splurging on $10 balloons and spending the extra $3 to make that drink complete with a glowing Buzz Light Year star. It was a great week!!!

I hope Nicole and Danny have as much fun as we did. Here is a picture from our Trip!
