You Inspire Me: Living the Life

This week  Miss L. is my inspiration! Miss L. is a Navy wife-to-be and puppy mommy. She is also getting ready to start taking piano lessons, which I think is totally awesome! If you haven't already, make sure you stop by her blog to read all about her adventures!

Miss L.'s movie recommendation for me was The Lake House. Mmmm I love me some Keanu Reeves! No, really...I once bought every single Keanu movie just because I thought he was so good looking!

Ok, so this has always been one of "those" movies that no matter how many times I watch...I still can't figure out. Like, I almost feel dumb for being like "I don't understand!" So, I'll be honest...I'm Wikipedia-ing it right now just so this review doesn't sound silly!

Alex and Kate leave letters to each other in a mailbox that has once been theirs at seperate points in time (for him 2004 - 2006, for her 2006 - 2008.) And this is where I get confused...even though they are living in different times, they manage to meet. Seriously...what?

Alright, so even after Wiki-ing the movie..I'm still confused. Great movie, but makes no sense. Even critics gave it it a good review, but say it doesn't make "time" sense. But atleast while you are confused you get to look at Keanu!

Miss L.'s reading recommendation was PS I Love You by Cecelia Ahern. Another blogger also recommended this book, so since I'm only half way through the book...I'll be posting the review next week! However, so far I like it. It's a little s-l-o-w, but so far so good.

And now, for my favorite part of these posts: THE FOOD! Mrs. L. recommended tortilla soup. I was all prepared to make this soup from scratch, but on a recent trip to World Market I found a packaged version of. All I had to do was boil the mix, eight cups of water and chicken. After boiling for 20 minutes I had to shred the chicken, return it back to the pan and simmer for 10 more minutes. This was such a huge pot of soup. And it was so yummy that Danny even brought the leftovers to work for lunch! I'm headed to World Market again this weekend and I will most definetly be picking up another package of this soup mix!

I took a picture of it after it was made but apparently it didn't save on my camera! FAIL!

As always, these were great recommendations! I love love loved the soup and can't wait to make it again. It was a perfect fall day meal! I'm looking forward to finishing up the book for next weeks review! Thank You Miss L.!
